July 20th & 21st back to Indiana and several museums in Elkhart
On Saturday we continued east to Bristol, Indiana which is midway between Elkhart and Middlebury. Both Elkhart and Middlebury have sights and rv factories we wanted to see. We landed at a private campground called Eby's Pines in Bristol. We got a nice site near a pond. On Sunday we did a lot. We started by visiting the RV Hall of Fame museum. It is a great museum which has both representative examples of old and modern rv's. It is a great experience. After the rv museum we did some shopping at my favorite store when rv'ing: Walmart. From there we visited a jewel of a museum in downtown Elkhart: the Midwest Museum of American Art. It contained a great exhibit of sculptor Tuck Langland and a comprehensive exhibit of full sized signed lithographs of Norman Rockwell. At the end of our visit we had a nice discussion with the director and curator of the museum Brian Byrn. We ended this full day with a few hours at the loca...
