July 17th: Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
We left Huggy Bear RV campground mid morning on the 17th and headed west for Iowa. It was tedious driving I-80 near Chicago. But we made good time and landed in Cedar Rapids Iowa late afternoon. We also gained an hour by changing time zones. Visiting Cedar Rapids was like visiting an old friend. Last time we were there was for the college graduation of our daughter Francesca in '98. The campus was quiet and pristine. In fact it is a beautiful little gem in the mid-West., The building architecture was consistent and neat. The grounds were immaculate. After walking around for about an hour we continued north from Cedar Rapids aiming for Lazy Aces in Center Point Iowa. A small, and very neat and nice campground run by new owners who lived on the property.
